introduction


   Last December 2019, the project "Following your strokes" was presented, in which girls and boys treated at the Teletón Michoacan Children's Rehabilitation and Inclusion Center, carried out artistic works in collaboration with renowned Michoacan artists to be auctioned for the benefit of the Teleton Foundation.

   This project arose with the intention of encouraging and promoting the artistic talent of the children and adolescents served in the CRIT Michoacan, in addition to becoming a means of collection that allows the Center to continue with the rehabilitation support for the more than 600 families attended by the Foundation in the State.

    In joint coordination of the Clavijero Cultural Center 15 artists were summoned to intervene the pieces made by the minors, among them the Mtro. Luis Palomares. The works carried out were exhibited at the Clavijero Cultural Center and culminated in the auction of the works.

   All the works that the children made together with the artists were elaborated in the technique of Acrylic on Canvas of 1.20 x 1.20 m. Mr. Palomares together with the girl Miriam Rangel Gómez developed the painting entitled "Monarch Sanctuary".

    Miriam is 11 years old and lives in the city of Morelia, at 6 she began his rehabilitation at the CRIT Michoacán, because she has a condition called Myasthenia Gravis, which causes weakness and alteration in her muscles, Miriam has a lot of fun painting in the painting workshop with her friends and she feels very happy to have participated in this project.

   On December 18, 2019, the auction of the 15 works carried out by the children of the CRIT Michoacan in conjunction with the artists who participated in the project was held at the facilities of the Clavijero Cultural Center, resulting in the sale of all the works and thus being able to raise funds for the Teletón Foundation.

    This event was attended by representatives of the authorities of the Government of the State of Michoacan and the Municipal Government, of Morelia, as well as the different Departments of Culture, Clavijero Cultural Center and the CRIT Michoacán, all participating children with their family members, artists art collectors and the general public participated in the project.
